Just as there are certain general principles of economics that lead to poverty, so too there are general principles of economics that lead to prosperity.

If you are not lazy and can do your work without constant supervision, then your life will tend towards prosperity.

"Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest."   Proverbs 6:6-8

This is God’s formula for having meat in the summer and food during the harvest. Work hard, like the ant, and do your work without requiring constant supervision! This one truth alone is part of every financial success story ever told!

A field trip to the anthill, as the wise man of Proverbs prescribes, is absolutely essential. Whenever a hard-working, industrious man or woman puts the specific principles of biblical economics to work, all he or she does will be more effective.

God’s law of Prosperity says that if a person is a liberal giver, then his money will be increased.

When a person is industrious, he will naturally tend towards prosperity. So be careful not to lose sight of the fact that you are on a quest for the God-kind of prosperity, and it is based upon giving:

“There is (he) that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is (he) that withholdeth more than is meet fitting), but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself."  Proverbs 11:24, 25

If you put Jesus first in your finances, then you will steadily increase and become well endowed in material goods.

Keep yourself in balance in your economics. Remember: there are two sets of economic principles that must be blended into any successful financial endeavor:

  1. The general law of economics says that hard work by the person who can perform his work without supervision tends towards sufficiency.
  2.  The spiritual law of biblical economics says that when anyone gives to God, He continuously gives back to that person in ever-increasing amounts.

When you operate both the general and the spiritual laws of prosperity in your life, you will begin to experience ever-increasing abundance.
