Every day you and I see and hear the various commercial banks waging economic war with their competitors. They buy advertising time on radio, television, and in the newspapers, trying to offer us the right promise to get us to deposit our money in their bank.

Some offer higher interest. Others offer no service charge on checking accounts. Still others offer toasters, cookbooks, and yes, even Cabbage Patch dolls – just to lure us into investing our funds in their institution.

But, without exception, God offers you and me the best banking program ever heard of, hear how attractive it sounds from The Living Bible:

But remember this – if you give little, you will get little. A farmer who plants just a few seeds will get only a small crop, but if he plants much, he will reap much.

Every one must make up his own mind as to how much he should give. Don’t force anyone to give more than he really wants to, for cheerful givers are the ones God prizes.

God is able to make it up to you by giving you everything you need and more, so that there will not only be enough for your own needs, but plenty left over to give joyfully to others.

It is as the Scriptures say: “The godly man gives generously to the poor. His good deeds will be an honor to him forever.”

For God, who gives seed to the farmer to plant, and later on, good crops to harvest and eat, will give you more and more seed to plant and make it grow so that you can give away more and more fruit from your harvest.  Yes, God will give you much so that you can give way much . . . .”                                                                                                                                2 Corinthians 9:6-11

Now that you are putting your money in God’s bank, you can expect to receive God’s promises which assure you of provision of everything you need and more.

You literally cannot give away too much money when you give in the name of the Lord. Each time you give an offering, it will be returned to you multiplied. Just as an earthly banker knows the world’s secrets of abundance, you can literally bank on God, and on His promises. He will see that you have abundant treasures in heaven and on earth (even more than enough).
